Phys. Constants

In some calculations performed by VOSA it is necesary to use values for certain physical constants. There are the values that we are using:

  • $L_{sun}$: 3.828e+33  , Solar Luminosity (erg cm-2 s-1 A-1)
  • $R_{sun}$: 6.96e+10  , Solar Radius (cm)
  • $M_{sun}$: 1.98855e+33  , Solar Mass (g)
  • $G_{Nw}$: 6.674e-8  , Newton Gravitational constant (cm3 g-1 s-2)
  • $\sigma_{SB}$: 5.6704e-5  , Stefan-Boltzmann constant (erg cm-2 s-1 K-4)
  • ${\rm parsec}$: 3.0857e+18  , parsec to cm conversion (cm)
  • ${\rm c}$: 2.99792e+10  , light speed (cm/s)
