Quality information in VO Catalogs

Galaxy Evolution Explorer [Galex-DR5 MIS]

We use the quality information in the Fafl, Nafl artifact flags provided by the Galex-DR5 MIS catalogue in Vizier.

where the possible values are described as:

We consider flag=0 as good quality. Bad otherwise. That is:

  • Fafl != 0 → GALEX/GALEX.FUV: bad
  • Nafl != 0 → GALEX/GALEX.NUV: bad

See the catalogue description in Vizier (you can also see a local copy if the link does not work).
