Quality information in VO Catalogs

DARK ENERGY SURVEY, DR1

We use the quality information in the gFlag, iFlag, rFlag, zFlag, Yflag flags (one for each band) provided by the DES catalogue in Vizier.

where the possible values are described as:

We consider flag<=3 as good quality. Bad otherwise. That is:

  • gFlag>=4 → CTIO/DECam.g: bad
  • iFlag>=4 → CTIO/DECam.i: bad
  • rFlag>=4 → CTIO/DECam.r: bad
  • zFlag>=4 → CTIO/DECam.z: bad
  • YFlag>=4 → CTIO/DECam.Y: bad
