Quality information in VO Catalogs

WISE

We use the quality information in the qph flag provided by the ALLWISE catalogue in Vizier.

where the possible values are described as:

qph is a 4 character flag, one character per band [W1/W2/W3/W4].

We consider A, B, and C as good values, X and Z as bad and U as upper limit. That is, for instance, for the second character (that gives information about the W2 band):

  • qph[2] ∈ (A,B,C) → WISE/WISE.W2: good
  • qph[2] ∈ (X,Z) → WISE/WISE.W2: bad
  • qph[2] ∈ (U) → WISE/WISE.W2: upper limit
